Mathematics and Statistics Program

This course covers the notions on limits, continuity, derivatives and their applications, differentials, antiderivatives, definite integrals, and its application. It gives students appreciations of how complex real-world problems can be solved through different tools of calculus such as limits, differentiation, and integration.

Math 54 (Elementary Analysis II) is the second course in the calculus series and is a continuation of Math 53 (Elementary Analysis I). This course enhances students’ knowledge and skills in calculus. The content of the course focuses on techniques of integration, improper integrals, sequences and series, power series, differential calculus of functions of two or more variables, and double integrals.
