This a new Special Topic offering in CS which is all about Agent-based Modeling.

Computer systems organization from a designer’s point of view; assembly language; addressing, stacks, argument passing, arithmetic operations, decisions, modularization; input/output operations and interrupts; memory hierarchy and cache memory; pipeline design techniques; super-scalar CPU architecture; parallel architectures.

This is for section B and C, for those who are enrolled under Ms. Pau.

Introduces the circuits responsible for interpreting program codes in computers and other digital systems. Provides an overview of logic design concepts and terminology. Students will have an opportunity to solve design problems using a simulation software and various analytical tools.

Data representation and computer arithmetic; logic functions and equations; description, analysis and design of combinational and sequential circuits; functional properties of digital integrated circuits.

Introduction to the major areas of Computer Science; software systems and methodology; computer theory; computer organization and architecture.
